The Governors Cup
The Nevada Rangers Cowboy Action Shooters Society
presents
The Territorial Governors Invitational Cup.
You will receive an application for a Discounted Shoot at the Las Vegas "Stampede" if you meet the four simple qualifications.
- Must meet all the requirements of a Territorial Governor with SASS.
- Must be registered as a Territory Governor representing your club by
November 1, 1998.
- Must agree to return the "Governors Cup" back to the Nevada Rangers the following year.
- Must agree to abide by the Spirit of the Game.
- All Territorial Governors will receive a registration in the mail. Complete it and mail it to the Nevada Rangers.
- Attend the Shoot, March 11, 12, 13, 14, 1999, near Las Vegas, Nevada.
- All Territorial Governors will shoot the Main Match in any Category they choose.
- You will not shoot a separate match, however after you complete the
main match on Saturday, your score will be tabulated separately with the other Territorial Governors.
The Territorial Governor with the best overall score is the
"Top Governor".
- You will receive a personal plaque inscribed with "Your Name - First Place Territorial Governor".
- The following month at "End of Trail" Governors meeting, you will be presented with the Governors Cup.
- The cup will have your name and your club's name inscribed on it.
- You must agree to send the Governors Cup back to the Nevada Rangers the following year so it can be presented again at "End of Trail" to that years winner

- The charity chosen for this years match is "Silverstate Assisted Therapeutic Riding"
- They provide a means for handicapped children to feel satisfaction by accomplishment and boost their self esteem.
- Children are taught to interact with nature, animals and their environment.
- This organization of unpaid volunteers, provides assistance to all of Southern Nevada without regard to race, creed or color.
- Proceeds from this match will be used to sponsor children who would otherwise be financially unable to participate.
- Organizers of this program spend great amounts of time working with these children but there are costs involved:
- Feed and Vet care for the Horses.
- Transportation to and from events for the children.
- special equipment for the handicapped riders.
